Why
Politics?
It’s funny how life can take unexpected turns. If you had asked me during my school years whether I would ever be involved in public service at a government level, I would have confidently said no. Yet, somewhere along the way, I found myself drawn to local issues and became increasingly aware of the biases on social media. This realization sparked a passion for politics I never knew I had, now I’m eager to make a difference in my community using the tools and resources I have gained.
Why am I running?
I believe that we live in an incredible town, despite it's obvious growth Aurora has always maintained it's "small town" charm. Of course there is always room for improvement. I want to help build a beautiful and connected Aurora, work with higher levels of government on solutions, not band-aids, and be a trusted voice for Aurorans. All while ensuring Aurora remains a town where people do not want to leave.

To Build a Beautiful and Connected Community
Growth is inevitable, and as we move forward, it's crucial that this growth is timeless and fosters a strong sense of community. We must prioritize future needs in our development plans, ensuring that our progress is sustainable and inclusive. By focusing on these principles, we can create a thriving environment for all. Let’s embrace growth that connects us and stands the test of time.

To work with higher levels of Government on Solutions, not band-aids.
Many communities are struggling with numerous issues, yet many government officials resort to quick-fix solutions instead of pursuing genuine, long-term answers. This tendency to apply band-aid solutions can sometimes be framed as "cost-saving," but it often just delays real solutions, making them harder to achieve. It's crucial to prioritize solutions that truly address the root causes of these challenges.

To be a Trusted Voice for Aurorans
I understand that political trust is waning, but I want to be a confident voice for our community. I’m passionate about connecting with you and hearing your concerns, regardless of our differences. When all voices are respected and valued, we create an Aurora that benefits everyone.
